Here's how to use Face Codes to import Shepard's appearance in Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Generally, however, players can start a new playthrough with an old custom Shepard if they prefer. Because of the new options and the changes to character creation in Mass Effect Legendary Edition, these imports may not be exact and may require a few tweaks. Most importantly, players who want to relive the nostalgia of the classic trilogy and import their original custom Shepard may do so. In Mass Effect 2, Commander Shepard 's armor can be customized by swapping out pieces of the default N7 Armor for pieces purchased from merchants, or made available as downloadable content, by using the Armor Locker aboard the Normandy SR-2. Players can input a code from another fan or friend if they like the way that player's Shepard looks. Each custom Shepard is given a unique Face Code, visible at the bottom of the screen in character creation and at the top of the screen in the Squad menu during the game, based on the positions of the various sliders. The new and expanded character customization options for Commander Shepard in Mass Effect Legendary Edition allow players to create a character that resonates with them, but some players may miss their original Shepard from the classic games.
